English: Dashed black line shows the oldest calcium-aluminum-rich inclusion (CAI) (Connelly et al., 2012), which is a proxy for age of the Solar System. Estimates for earliest and latest Moon formation times are shown in blue and orange lines respectively (Touboul et al., 2009). Lighter colored rectangles show additional time required for LMO solidification using a simplified thermal model with the assumption of there being no additional heat sources (Perera et al., 2018). The most reliable FAN sample age is shown with a red square (error bars are smaller than the marker) and the best estimate for formation of the original KREEP layer at depth (i.e., ur-KREEP) is shown with a dark cyan triangle (Borg et al., 2015). Oldest (Alibert et al., 1994) and youngest (Borg et al., 1999) ferroan anorthosite (FAN) samples are shown by gray circles.
