Summary

Description
English: A date stone in the south east face of Earlstoun Castle. The date 1655 is inscribed, along with the initials WG and MH (for William Gordon of Earlstoun and his wife, Mary Hope). The stone is not original to this part of the castle; it has been reused from an extension that previously existed on the east of the building.
