Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | Eurovision Song Contest 2002 |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | to serve as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the work in question. |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
Two versions of the album artwork have been used for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 CD. One shows Tallinn 2002, the other (this image) shows Estonia 2002. This image is showing the latter version, and is being used to portray this information on the article, so that visitors can see there are 2 versions in existence, depending on the region they purchase the CD from. Therefore it is impossible to find a free equivalent of this alternative artwork in order to depict visually that two artwork covers are in existence, something which words alone could not provide. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | Album infobox. The image is used for identification in the context of critical commentary of the work for which it serves as cover art. It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone. The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing the work, to show the primary visual image associated with the work, and to help the user quickly identify the work and know they have found what they are looking for. Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original artwork, namely the artist's providing graphic design services to music concerns and in turn marketing music to the public. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
As musical cover art, the image is not replaceable by free content; any other image that shows the packaging of the music would also be copyrighted, and any version that is not true to the original would be inadequate for identification or commentary. |
Other information | This version is to show the cover art released depicting "Estonia 2002" alongside the other cover art released that depicts "Tallinn 2002" as its title - on the section Eurovision Song Contest 2002#Official album. |
