Summary

Description
English: The Boeing YP-29A at the Langley Aeronautical Laboratory at Hampton, Virginia (USA). The YP-29A originally was an enclosed cockpit fighter with a NACA cowling around the Pratt and Whitney Wasp power plant, but was modified to this configuration with a Townend ring around the Wasp and an open cockpit. The redesigned headrest which extended to the tail surfaces was reminiscent of, and substantially larger than that on the Boeing.
