This polytope image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “E8-6Cube.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description
English: 240 E8 vertices with 1440 overlapping 6-Cube (6D) unit edges and Golden Ratio basis vectors orthographically projected to 3D.

The specific basis vectors are:
x = {1, [Phi], 0, -1, [Phi], 0, 0, 0}
y = {[Phi], 0, 1, [Phi], 0, -1, 0, 0}
z = {0, 1, [Phi], 0, -1, [Phi], 0, 0}

The edges have norm’d unit length calculated from the 6 non-zero projected dimensions of E8. Of these, 192 vertices and 64 edges belong to the 6D 6-Cube (Hexeract) proper. Edges are shown with colors assigned based on origin vertex distance from the outer perimeter. The vertex colors of the 6-Cube projection represent E8 vertex overlaps.
