English: Edward Pugin`s fireplace inside Granville House. Supported on red marble columns with the mantel carved in Caen stone. It bears the Granville coat of arms and the motto - Pile on the logs to make the fire great. Circa 1869. Arms of Leveson-Gower, Earl Granville: Quarterly 1st & 4th barry of eight argent and gules a cross flory sable (Gower); 2nd: azure, three laurel leaves or (Leveson); 3rd: Gules, three clarions or (Granville) over all a crescent for difference (Debrett's Peerage, 1968, p.505)
