On NRHP since June 18, 1976 NW of St. Charles off Dean St. According to a sing on the property "Durant House Museum" the Durant family arrived in Kane County in 1837 and built the vernacular Greek Revival House in 1843, and raised 6 children there. restored by a joint project of Kane County and the Forest Preserve District of Kane County
