Description
English: Dupont National Bank (founded in 1916; absorbed by the Merchants Bank and Trust Company in 1922) located at 1341 Connecticut Avenue, NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The circa 1912 building was designed by Jules Henri de Sibour, whose works include the Thomas T. Gaff House, Embassy of Uzbekistan, McCormick Apartments, and other historical buildings in Dupont. SunTrust Banks, Inc. is the current owner of the property and the address has changed to 1369 Connecticut Avenue, NW. It's a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District.
