English: Photographed on the main parade ground at Terendak Garrison near Malacca in Malaysia. On the occasion of the visit of the Duke of Edinburgh to Terendak Garrison on 18th February, 1965. All the school children and families came to see Royalty.
Prince Philip visited Terendak Army Base which was near the town on Malacca on the west coast of Malaysia. The army base was British run and Australian and New Zealand troops were also there. The base was handed over long ago and no foreign troops are in Malaysia now. This image is cropped from a large format 120mm transparency which was severely damaged. Needed a vast amount of restoration to save the image. |
