Description

Dryopteris arguta — Coastal woodfern.

  • This species of wood fern is native to the west coast and western mountain ranges of North America, where it grows in mixed evergreen forests, oak woodlands, and shady low elevation slopes.
  • Specimen at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Southern California.
