Summary

Description
English: An example dry-jet wet spinning (nonsolvent induced phase separation) hollow fiber fabrication system in operation. Nascent polymer solution is extruded through the annulus of a spinneret (left), meets air and then contacts the nonsolvent (water) bath resulting in precipitation of the membrane. Precipitated membrane is then taken up by a motorized wheel (right).
