Description
Nederlands: Drieluik met taferelen uit het leven van Johannes de Doper. Op het middenpaneel vermaant Johannes de Doper de Farizeeërs, hierbij ook twee discipelen en Christus. Links op de achtergrond doopt Johannes in de Jordaan. Op het linker zijpaneel de prediking van Johannes de Doper, op de voorgrond twee soldaten. Op het rechter zijpaneel de doop van Christus in de Jordaan, op de achtergrond het banket van Herodes en de onthoofding van Johannes de Doper. Op de buitenkant van het linkerluik: Johannes de Doper met het Lam Gods. Op het rechterluik: de knielende stichteres Berbel of Barbara van der Noot met de heilige Barbara. Het altaarstuk is vervaardigd voor een benedictijner klooster in Groot-Bijgaarden, bij Brussel. Met geïntegreerde lijst.
