Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Identification and critical commentary in the Downthesun article, a subject of public interest. The image confirms to readers they have reached the correct article, and illustrates the group. It also illustrates the band with/their connection to Shawn "Clown" Crahan, who was responsible for connecting the band's two founding members, Lance Collier and Nathan Church, to the band's other four members.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	No free alternative could be created to illustrate the topic in question. The band have been split since 2011, and a new one is unlikely. A free contemporary image would not convey the same information.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	This picture only features Downthesun and its members (inc. Shawn Crahan).
