Summary

Description An U.S. Navy Douglas A3D-2 Skywarrior (BuNo 138930) of heavy attack squadron VAH-9 Hoot Owls from the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CVA-60) flies over the Isle of Capri, Italy, 1958. VAH-9 was assigned to Carrier Air Group Three (CVG-3) aboard the Saratoga for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 1 February to 1 October 1958. The A3D-2 (A-3B) 138930 was lost on 12 February 1965 while assigned to VAH-4.
