English: Doris Zinkeisen: New Idea portrait with patterned background
Doris Zinkeisen, photographed in 1929 by Harold Cazneaux. This photograph was one of Cazneaux's 'new idea' series of portraits for ‘The Home’ magazine, which placed subjects against painted backdrops. Cazneaux was its chief photographer. ‘The Home’ was launched in Sydney in 1920 and styled after Vogue.
