An incredible day out on Monterey Bay, got to travel in the middle of a huge pod of dolphins, at least 100. My pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely amazing experience.

These are apparently Pacific White-sided dolphins, and there were dolphins of every age in the pod, the entire sea around the boat was churning with these beautiful creatures, mostly swimming in synchronized patterns. They move faster by jumping out of the water and through the air. Some where clearly showing off, by rolling as they jumped, and others were bow riding.

I traveled with Sea Goddess Tours out of Moss Landing. Recommend them whole-heartedly, we spent 20 minutes traveling with the dolphins, then went out to deeper sea and found humpback whales. These guys know their stuff and stayed out 2 hours longer than scheduled after getting a vote from the passengers.
