Deutsch: Beschreibung: Die Schlupfwespen (Ichneumonidae) bilden in Mitteleuropa die artenreichste Familie der Hautflügler und stellen auch die größten Arten unter den parasitoiden Hymenopteren. Gelegentlich wird der Name „Schlupfwespen“ als Bezeichnung für die Lebensweise verwendet, die nicht nur die Ichneumonidae, sondern auch andere Legimmen besitzen, daher nennt man die Ichneumonidae auch „Echte Schlupfwespen“ oder „Schlupfwespen im engeren Sinn“.
