Diabolo[devil sticks] is a toy which consists of an hourglass-shaped double cone (devil) of wood or metal and two wooden sticks with a cord therebetween. A person holding a stick in each hand, puts the diabolo on the strand and brings it to rotate at varying rates and quickly raises and lowers the pins so the cord tightens and slacks (source: snl.no). Norsk bokmål: Beskrivelse: Postkort Djevlespill er en leke som består av en timeglassformet dobbeltkjegle (djevel) av tre eller metall og to trepinner med en snor imellom. Man holder en pinne i hver hånd, anbringer dobbeltkjeglen på snoren og bringer den til å rotere ved avvekslende raskt å heve og senke pinnene så snoren strammes (kilde:snl.no). |
