DescriptionDixie Flyer and Dixie Limited timetables 1930.jpg
Portion of a timetable for the Dixie Flyer and the Dixie Limited from 1930. The Dixie Flyer was new in that year, while the Dixie Limited was the all-Pullman train on the route. The trains were partnerships between the Chicago and Eastern Illinois, Louisville and Nashville and Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis rail companies, traveling between Chicago and Florida.
Since I could view only part of the timetable, a search was done in pamphlets for renewals in the years 1957 and 1958. There were no listings for any of the three respective rail companies; there's no evidence copyright is currently claimed on the material, if it was ever registered at all.
Note that it may still be copyrighted in jurisdictions that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works (depending on the date of the author's death), such as Canada (70 years p.m.a.), Mainland China (50 years p.m.a., not Hong Kong or Macao), Germany (70 years p.m.a.), Mexico (100 years p.m.a.), Switzerland (70 years p.m.a.), and other countries with individual treaties.
