Description Distribution of the Western and the Eastern Green Lizard, Lacerta bilineata (green areas) and Lacerta viridis (blue areas), in Europe. The yellow area marks a zone of hybridism between both species in NE Italy. Note: The real distribution is much less continuous than the map tells!
