English: Reconstructions of the mysterious arthrodire placoderms, Diplognathus mirabilis (top), and D. lafargei, as hadrosteids. They are known from suborbital plates and portions of jaw from the Famennian-aged Cleveland Shale fauna of Late Devonian Ohio. The skull of D. mirabilis is probably 15 centimeters long, while D. lafargei may be around 2 to 5 centimeters long.
