As a consequence, there is more solution in the beaker after solution, and the color of the solution becomes fainter. The inset shows that at the particular level (picometer to nanometer scale), there are less solute particles (red triangles) per volume. The content in the central box shows the dilution law, i.e. that the product of concentration and volume stays constant upon dilution.
