English: An ancient 'Duke' 4-4-0 at Didcot.
View SE, towards Reading and London, also Newbury and Winchester; ex-GW Paddington - Reading - Swindon etc. main line and DN&S branch. Only 10 of these Dean 1890s 4-4-0 express engines survived into Nationalisation: this is No. 9083 'Comet', built 3/99 as No. 3317 (later 3283), which ended its days working on the Didcot, Newbury & Southampton line.
