Français : Pierre Porcon de La Barbinais, capitaine de frégate, est fait prisonnier par le dey d'Alger. Celui-ci l'envoie négocier avec le roi Louis XIV le traitement des captifs français en Algérie et les accords de paix. Le roi refusa les propositions, et le comte fut décapité
