DescriptionDetonator at Thorpe Park - geograph.org.uk - 145471.jpg
English: Detonator at Thorpe Park. Detonator is a freefall drop ride where the riders sit on seats placed around the ride's column. The seats are then winched up 100ft and a countdown is given by the ride's themeing. Just as the count down reaches zero (maybe sooner or later at the ride operator's discretion) four pistons shoot the seats down the column giving a brief negative G experience. The rollercoaster in the background is Nemesis Inferno, a B&M inverted coaster.
