Despujolsite is a very rare hydrated calcium manganese sulfate, found in only three localities worldwide. The gemmy, slightly flattened, hexagonal crystal has pretty and typical, intense yellow-green color. The small find of these crystals, at the recent 2011 Tucson Show, was a very interesting, subtle surprise. These crystals several orders of magnitude more important than any previously found. This is a world class find for the species. Analyzed by Dr. Robert Downs at the University of Arizona. 0.6 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm.
