English: On the ridge of Woden Law. The Iron Age hill fort on Woden Law was taken over by the Romans and used for siege practice and military exercises. Dere Street, a Roman road, runs to the north and east of Woden Law and the nearby Roman marching camp at Pennymuir could house 6000 men.
