DescriptionDelia Alvarez, The Albuquerque Tribune, June 9, 1971.jpg
English: Photo of anti-war activist Delia Alvarez, cropped and improved from the original photo that ran in the now-defunct newspaper, "The Albuquerque Tribune" on June 9, 1971 as part of the page D2 article, "The life of a POW's kin: Hopelessness and despair." Alvarez, the brother of Everett Alvarez Jr., a United States Navy officer who was being held as a prisoner of war by the Vietnamese government during the Vietnam War, was participating in a news conference at the Sunport in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Mrs. James Lindberg Hughes, whose husband was also being held as a POW. (Note: "The Albuquerque Tribune" ceased publication in 2008.)
