Description
English: This image shows outcrops of the Deer Canyon Rhyolite Member of the Valles Rhyolite, exposed on the east flank of Redondo Peak in the Valles caldera, New Mexico, USA. The Deer Canyon Rhyolite was erupted as relatively small flows and tuffs from numerous vents on the resurgent Valles dome, very shortly after the Valles eruption 1.25 million years ago.
