The signed declaration against racial discrimination, on the wall inside the building of the Tweede Kamer ("Second Chamber"), the Dutch Parliament.

The text reads:

GENERAL DECLARATION AGAINST RACIAL DISCRIMINATION

THE UNDERSIGNED,

RECALL, that based on the Constitution and other laws and treaties, discrimination based on race, skin color, national or ethnic background is forbidden.

CONFIRM, that in a democratic society, respect for every human is fundamental en that every person living in The Netherlands should be able to participate in the Dutch society in an equal way.

NOTICE, that prejudices, discriminating statements en actions, be it knowingly or not, exist in the entire society and that they are a primary cause of the existing disadvantaged position of minorities.

CONDEMN prejudices, intolerancy and disadvantaged positions at work, school, in leisure time or anywhere. Discrimination is a social injustice.

OBLIGE THEMSELVES to a joined effort to prevent and oppose all forms of prejudices and discrimination.

DECLARE that, to prevent or oppose prejudices and discrimination, they will do at least the following: - Give the right example and counter stereotypes - Promote that behavioral codes against discrimination are installed
