English: This came from an old debit card I used a few years ago. No idea who makes the chip, I could not find any markings.
Honestly I was not expecting to find a viewable chip let alone something I could picture so this really surprised me. The chip is incredibly thin so I was afraid to try anything more aggressive than tape to clean it. Now that I've got images of it I might try again some time.
Chip section was cut out of the card and heated and bent until the grey part detached with this on the back. Process was repeated to remove the chip from the grey part.
