Description
The calling of Saint Anthony. View into a church where a priest wearing a surplice is preaching from his pulpit to a group of men and women. Behind the priest hangs a small painting showing Moses holding the Ten Commandments. The foreground is sprayed with flowers. To the right Saint Anthony is standing listening to the sermon as are five other men behind him, who seem to be the donors of the painting. In the background Saint Anthony is handing out bread to the poor and the crippled. Further inside the church a rood screen stands, separating the nave from the choir in which the altar is just recognisable through the altarpiece standing on top of it.
