Description

The De La Salle University Chorale, group composed of young music-loving students, was founded in 1987. In Finland, the group won the Grand Prix in the 1995 Tampere International Choir Festival, besting 53 other choirs from all over the world with a rating of Three Gold Stamps, the highest honours given in the festival. From May 29 to August 2, 1999, the Chorale traveled through 8 European countries, gaining praise and appreciation from their audiences in all their performances. The chorale embarked on a successful four and half-month US and European in 2004, as they served as Ambassadors of Goodwill through Music and Culture in their performances in various States, as well as in various European countries. The group was given the Folkloric Diploma in the famous 21st Bela Bartok International Choral Competition in Hungary. For the past several years, apart from regular concerts and performances, the group has been busy locally with various activities. The most recent of these activities was the group’s organization and hosting of “Labor of Love” in February 2009. The DLSU Chorale continues to search for and participate as Ambassadors of Goodwill with the willfulness and purposefulness of their commitment in achieving their goal: Excellence in choral music.
