Purpose of use	Illustration of the artist's work. The artist's career included both comic books and comic strips, and this is the sole illustration of the latter portion of his career. Comics are a visual medium, and it is impossible to provide a comprehensive understanding of a comic artist's work without an appropriate sample of his artwork. Because this is a single sample of a defunct and obscure comic strip, there is virtually no commercial viability, and the low resolution further prohibits its use in any non-authorized way
