To Whom It May Concern:
I am a researcher in Shreveport, Louisiana. My current project is to write an encyclopedia article on the popular folk song, "Old Dan Tucker." As part of the article, I plan to discuss the story, discussed on your website, that the song was based on a Reverend Daniel Tucker who is buried just east of Elberton.
. . .
However, in order to do this, I need images. Therefore, I would also greatly appreciate digital photographs of Reverend Tucker's grave and of the historical marker that precedes it. Do you have such images available? The image will have to be released under Wikipedia's GFDL license. What this amounts to is that anyone may use the image for their own projects. As these images are probably fairly common among tourists, I hope that releasing images in this way will not present a problem.
I greatly appreciate your time in reading my request. And I am sorry that I can't come out to Elbert County myself to see the DanTucker site!
Sincerely,
Brian C. Smithson
Brian, I am attaching the only pictures I have. Would you give me a mailing address and we will send you some printed info. Thanks Phyllis
