Français : Dagobert Ier réfugié à Saint-Denis Grandes Chroniques de France, enluminées par Jean Fouquet, Tours, vers 1455-1460 Paris, BnF, département des Manuscrits, Français 6465, fol. 57 (Cinquième Livre) Après avoir coupé, par vengeance, la barbe et les moustaches de son maître Sadragésile, et craignant le courroux de son père, Dagobert Ier se réfugie à Saint-Denis. La protection des saints Denis, Rustique et Éleuthère empêche les sergents du roi Clotaire de pénétrer dans la chapelle des trois martyrs située à quelques lieues de Paris.
