Fair Use Rationale for image use in East Pakistan Air Operations, 1971
[edit]fair use rationale text: This image, Dacca Govt House.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (ranam) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because it depicts visually, and for want of freely available images, the scale, magnitude, and effects of the, in visual terms, of the strikes on East Pakistan Civilian Administration by the Indian Air Force that effectively prevented it from functioning and led to capitulation of the same administration during the 1971 war.
The image, is not from a commercial source, and is not a cause of loss of revenue. Though the images are not in public domain the Indian Information Act states that they can be used to dissipate information. Therefore this image is in fair use.
