Object history
Deutsch: Waigoldshausen ist Eisenbahnknotenpunkt, hier zweigt die für den Güterverkehr wichtige Werntalbahn von der Hauptlinie Schweinfurt-Würzburg nach Gemünden ab. Darauf weist das Eisenbahnrad hin. Es stellt zugleich die Bedeutung der Schweinfurter Industrie für die Bevölkerung der Gemeinde dar. Die gekreuzten Rebmesser symbolisieren den für die Orte Hergolshausen und Theilheim einst wichtigen Weinbau sowie den landwirtschaftlichen Charakter des Gemeindegebiets im Allgemeinen. Die Farben Silber und Rot sind die Farben des Hochstifts Würzburg, das seit 1060 in Waigolshausen belegt ist. Der Bischof von Würzburg hatte die Ortsherrschaft bis zum Ende des Alten Reichs 1803 inne.
