Object history
English: The name of the municipality officially is just Rohrdorf. The epithet usually is added as a distinguishing mark. The reeds (German: Rohr) are canting and alluding to the meadows around the village. The lozenge is reminding on the Rohrdorf kin, commissionaires of the Counts of Falkenstein and mentioned since the 14th century in deeds of the Rott Abbey. The axe is taken from the family arms of the Pschachel kin, the successors of the Rohrdorf family. Both kins owned the estates of Unterrohrdorf and Oberrohrdorf until the 16th century.
