Object history
Deutsch: Der Ortsname geht zurück auf den am Ort vorbeifließenden Sahr-Bach. Ihn symbolisiert der blaue Wellenbalken. Bis um 1800 hatte Kurköln die Landesherrschaft in Kirchsahr. Die Unterherrschaft stand dem Stift Münstereifel zu. Seit etwa 1250 gehörte Kirchsahr zum Kollegiatstift Münstereifel. Zugleich für Kurköln (schwarze Farbe) und auf das Kollegiatstift Münstereifel hinweisend, steht das schwarze Vortragekreuz mit Doppelbalken. Die Bischofsstabskrümme steht als Hinweis auf den Ortspatron von Kirchsahr, St. Martin.
