Deutsch: Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten Köln vom 08.07.1988 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens und eines Dienstsiegels verliehen worden. „Geteilt von Blau und Silber (Weiß); oben ein silbernes (weißes) Antoniuskreuz, unten ein roter Herzschild, überhöht von einem 5-lätzigen blauen Turnierkragen.“ Das Antoniuskreuz gilt als Wahrzeichen Hellenthals, es befand sich -innerhalb eines Tartschenschildes- auf dem Schlussstein des Hauptportals und als Bekrönung des Dachreiters an der um 1520 erbauten Antonius-Kapelle in Hellenthal. Im unteren Schildteil das Stammwappen des Adelsgeschlechts von Reifferscheid, weil ein Teil von Hellenthal zur Herrschaft und zum Kirchspiel Reifferscheid gehörte.
English: „The arms were granted on July 8, 1988. The upper part of the arms shows the Tau cross taken from the patron Saint Antony, the lower part is taken from the arms of the Lords of Reifferscheidt.“
