Deutsch: Der Stadt Laasphe, jetzt Bad Laasphe, ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten Arnsberg vom 16. Januar 1976 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „In Schwarz eine silberne (weiße) Stadtmauer mit offenem Torturm, überragt von zwei silbernen (weißen) Zinnentürmen, zwischen denen ein silberner (weißer) mit zwei schwarzen Pfählen belegter Schild schwebt.“ Das Wappen basiert auf einem Siegel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Der kleine Schild enthält das ursprüngliche Wappen der Stadtherren, der Grafen von Wittgenstein.
English: „The arms of Laasphe were granted on March 10, 1937 and again on January 16, 1976. Laasphe received city rights in 1277. The oldest seal of the city dates from 1352 and already shows the same composition as the above arms. The gate with the towers symbolises the fortified city. The small shield shows the arms of the Lords of Wittgenstein, who owned the city at the time. In 1908 the arms were officially granted, but the shield was changed to a quartered shield for a later branch of the family, see image below.“
