English: Medical card of Wacław Czarnecki (1902-1990), as a Polish political prisoner of the Buchenwald Nazi Concentration Camp. obverse (top) and reverse (bottom).
About the obverse: All the health problems this young man, aged 41-43 at the time he was imprisoned by the Germans, are very telling: lumbago, bronchitis in June (!), rheumatism, tonsilitis and bronchitis (again in summer, in July) and finally the last entry, "Rippenprellung", rib bruise due to blow. All evidence of the apalling conditions in which the inmates, thousands of them Poles, where being purpousefully held in at the German Nazi Buchenwald CC.
