a – Morphological stasisː Species diverge, but do not develop apparent (morphological) differences. b – Hybrid speciationː Two species hybridise and give rise to a new species with intermediate characteristics, thus blurring the (morphological) species boundaries.Deutsch: Schema mit möglichen Prozessen, die sehr ähnliche Arten in einem Artenkomplex erzeugen (= kryptische Arten, wenn sie kaum unterscheidbar sind):
