English: The plaque on the Crow Stone in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The plaque is standing up nicely although the original inscriptions on the stone obelisk have seen rather too much time and too many tides. The Latin at the bottom is "floreat imperii portus" - "let the imperial port flourish" - the splendidly jingoistic motto of the Port of London Authority.
