Description This is a cropped digital reproduction of a watercolour (23.6 x 18.5 cm) by George Raper (1769-1797). It depicts the plant species, Crinum pedunculatum, detail of flower and seeds above image of whole plant, and was given the title [Swamp lily (Crinum pedunculatum)], devised by a cataloguer at the National Library of Australia and based on information supplied by vendors' agent. The date is given as [1789?] it is part of the Ducie collection of First Fleet art [picture], purchased from the Ducie/Moreton family, October 2005.

Attributed to George Raper by National Library of Australia Pictures Branch.

Further notes given are: Watermark: Fleur de Lys, shield and scroll W.

Inscriptions: "Natural size"--in pencil, upper right, against flower; "seed - Natural size"--in pencil, centre right, against seeds
