A small, grainy, low-resolution scan would seem to qualify as fair use. Subject died over 100 years ago. No alternative image seems to be available.

The picture was taken in 1857 or 1858 according to Leonard Dobbin in the Journal of Chemical Education (June, 1934), page 332.
