| Description |
Two card row counters ca.1930-1945. Top: Reverse of World War II knitting counter, labelled knitting register. Bottom: Reverse of Bestway knitting counter (ca.1930s) from which the WW2 counter design was taken. On the front is a complex knitting row counter made of card with red sliding indicators, made in England 1939-1940. The numerals are for recording rows, increase or decrease, and times. There is a needle gauge and a five-inch ruler. On the back, as shown in this picture, are instructions for use of numerals and sliding indicators. |
