Summary

Description
English: This road cut exposes the Cordito Member of the Los Pinos Formation. This is composed of mostly high-silica volcanic debris eroded off the Latir volcanic field, and possibly a volcanic center buried under the basalt of the Taos Plateau, to the east. The age is late Oligocene to late Miocene. Tusas Mountains, New Mexico, USA.
