English: Conwil Station, from train.
View eastward, towards Lampeter and Aberystwyth; ex-Great Western Aberystwyth - Lampeter - Carmarthen line. I took the photograph from the 17.50 train from Carmarthen on a journey to Aberystwyth. No one seems to have got on or off on this June 1962 occasion, so not surprisingly passenger services ceased on 22/2/65, when the line was closed completely (Aberystwyth - Strata Florida two months earlier, owing to flood damage); freight traffic, principally milk and agricultural, continued between Carmarthen, Pencader, Lampeter, Newcastle Emlyn and Felin Fach (Aberayron branch) until 1/10/73.
